While creating SMSXchangeTM, the notion of ensuring uptime on my servers being a 24/7 service was a daunting task. Hence I embarked on a search of some server monitoring tools. In the course of that, I found that the problems with many products out there:
There were products that allowed Remote Control using PDA, using WAP, but remote control using SMS was rare indeed and I was pretty convinced after scouring the internet that there just weren't any around.
Since I was so deeply in love with the SMS technology, I decided to build one that could just allow me to do that.
Based again on an open architecture design, I came up with Server Remote 1.0 which could monitor server uptimes, and Windows 2000 / NT services and alert you via SMS directly making use of my other existing products such as SMSXchange, SMSGate or SMS Server.

Server Remote 1.0 is a server management tool that just allows 2 things, monitoring of servers and Windows services and alerting you when these are down.
